WelcomeGreetingsPIRIKA PIRILALA POPORINA PEPERUTO! Welcome to Royal Patraine, a fan site dedicated to the cute magic girl series Ojamajo Doremi, known as the dub Magical Doremi. This site used to be known as Pretty Witch from 2003 to 2006 and has been on its downs and hiatus, but it's back and better than ever! Please note that this site has unmarked spoilers of the original anime, so browse at your risk! This website looks best on Internet Explorer at a 1024 × 768 resolution. August 12, 2010 @ 1:48 PMThe CW4Kids television block is now defunct and starting this week will be renamed "Toonzai!" Magical Doremi is said to appear on the block in fall 2010, but until then, 4Kids has uploaded their entire dub onto their YouTube channel, including the "missing" episode 18. No signs of the lost episode 30 emerged, though.
July 13, 2010 @ 10:36 PMLast time I posted an update, there were some rather disappointing news regarding the 4Kids dub of Ojamajo Doremi. However, a recent photo (scroll down to the update made on July 4, 2010) from an attendee of the Licensing Expo 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada, shows that 4Kids is actively promoting Toonzai, a new anime-oriented television block due to debut this fall. A picture of Doremi can be seen on the Toonzai banner, although there are no official statements yet made. Could Magical DoReMi be reappearing in the United States this fall? Seems very likely, as the most of the properties on the banner have thus been confirmed for Toonzai.Regarding 4Kids' YouTube channel, they have finished putting the first half of Magical DoReMi online, but they seem to have skipped episode 18. Not sure if this was purely accidental or if there was something wrong, because the episode is totally there on their own video section on their website. In addition, the videos on their YouTube channel have very poor quality compared to their own website, so it seems like in the end, for watching their dub in high-quality, their website is the place to go. As far as website updates go (gosh, I did something for once?!):
July 2, 2010 @ 9:40 AMStarting July 24, 2010, Magical DoReMi will be removed from the morning television block on The CW 4Kids, as noted by spidey4545 of Toonzone. Despite that Magical DoReMi is now on 4Kids' YouTube channel, I'm disappointed. To be blunt, here's an excerpt from my LiveJournal from a couple of weeks ago that I copy-pasta'd here since it sums up the thoughts that I currently have:Today, I originally woke up at 6:46 AM and thought I could catch a re-run of Magical DoReMi, just to support one of my favorite shows ever despite that the English dub sucked, but I was too tired and fell back asleep. Having that show on at 7 AM is a big mistake and I'm sure it could fail in ratings in the United States again. You'd think by now 4Kids would have learned their lesson, but try having them stop cutting out footage that doesn't need to be removed.I'm pretty sure that 4Kids' could pull something else and the show could come back, but man, 4Kids, did you learn anything from what happened in 2006? June 9, 2010 @ 9:15 PMFor those who can't access the English dub, Magical DoReMi, on 4Kids TV's website, and/or don't want to get up at 7 AM just to catch it on The CW 4Kids, 4Kids themselves have started uploading the show onto their YouTube channel. Feel free to check them out (although I'm pretty sure a lot of you probably won't). The good news to this is that since YouTube is easier for me to load the videos than 4Kids TV's website, the dub comparisons section may be finished faster. In addition, 4Kids is going to back to licensing series. 12 unknown properties will be introduced this year, 4 under the 4Kids label and 8 under the teen-adult-oriented label 4Sight. Could it be that we might see a Magical DoReMi Sharp? Looks possible at this point. As Doremi has always been a children's show, despite what other people may tell you (don't listen to them!), it will most likely be under the 4Kids label, not the 4Sight. As for maintenance-related updates, I will be moving this website very soon, so please don't be shocked to see it off this server some time. I probably won't have time to make a new layout and revamp this website to accomodate for new sections that I was planning, but those are still on the to-do list for this website. April 13, 2010 @ 11:25 PMMagical DoReMi will make its debut on the CW4Kids (4Kids TV's latest channel block programming) at 7 AM on Saturday, April 24! This was posted on 4Kids TV's forums with one of the staff confirming the news. Very exciting for those who can't/are unwilling to access the online video streams, although I can't say that the chosen time slot is very favorable. Hopefully a television rebroadcast of the show will give Ojamajo Doremi another chance to flourish in the United States. Cross your fingers and hope the ratings will be better than the last time the show was broadcasted! Let's watch the show to support the ratings! To check which channel The CW is on in your area, view The CW's station listing at their website.
January 31, 2010 @ 11:30 AMKind of on a random whim, but 4Kids has released the dub opening of Magical DoReMi onto iTunes.Although there are no other Doremi news for now, surprisingly, Toei's latest magical girl franchise, the Precure series, has spawned their latest installment, HeartCatch Precure! Unlike the previous installments, while the characters are still in middle school, in this series, they look much more younger and more like... Ojamajo Doremi?? It looks like whoever did the character designs for HeartCatch Precure! is the same one who did the Ojamajo Doremi!! |
