Changes

• This episode's avant title cut consists of train tracks shifting and Onpu's father's train whizzing by. Onpu excitedly watches. (20 seconds cut)
• Sagawa was making a comedic gesture about how awesome the train was. In the dub, he was making up some rap about how scary it was.
• The train that the boys were looking at was called the Z101 Solar Rail. In the dub, it was the Mercury 2010.
• Doremi speaks in wonder that boys like things like cars and trains, while Hazuki mentions that her mother claims they'll continue to like childish things. In the dub, they both talk about how they can't understand them.

• After Hazuki's comment, Aiko pops up and yells out, "That's true!" with Doremi, and they forget the boys. They huddle at Hazuki's desk to gossip. This was cut. (5 seconds cut)
• A shot of Misora Elementary School is cut out. (3 seconds cut)
• When Onpu talks about the train, she gives more specific, technical, architectural facts, such as information about the train engine. This makes the boys amazed that she knows so much about trains. Onpu never tells her classmates why she knows so much or that her father is a train conductor; when Oota asks, she just smiles. In the dub, she gives a detailed talk about their interiors and the boys are just amazed her dad is a train conductor.

• As Onpu talks about the trains, there's a shot of her looking fondly at the magazine. This was cut. (1 second cut)

• The sign on the television station was edited out in the dub. Guess what? It's ABC TV again!! (ABC TV, or Asahi Broadcasting Corporation, is the channel that Ojamajo Doremi was first broadcasted on.)

• Once Onpu and her mother leave the television station, there's a shot of Onpu sitting casually at her seat and a rather aesthetic shot of the van stopping before continuing. (9 seconds cut)

• The title "Bridge of Happiness" was edited out of the script in the dub.
• The drama was originally titled "Bridge of Happiness" and is a remake of a drama made three years ago. The part Onpu and Karen are auditioning for is Akane, the main character's little sister. In the dub, it was called "Bridge to Yesterday" and the part was the love interest.
• Onpu's mother was originally telling her daughter that although Akane's parts were hard to learn, she's sure that Onpu is able to do it. In the dub, she brags about how she was able to convince the producers into letting her audition despite her young age.

• The text on the script was replaced by horizontal lines in the dub.

• The speed limit painted on the roads were edited out in the dub.
• The leading role was played by Matsuzawa Akihiro, nicknamed "Makki" by his fans. In the dub, his name was changed into "Ashton Maguire." Hurhurhur, Ashton Kutcher and Toby Maguire.
• Onpu's mother originally encouraged Onpu to go meet with her father because he'll be sad if he doesn't see her. In the dub, she seems to prioritize Onpu's drama audition over seeing her father.
• Doremi and the girls originally felt that Onpu seemed a little different than her usual self because this time, she seemed much happier and even revealed facts about herself that they didn't know. In the dub, they were surprised by how long Onpu hasn't seen her father and concluded that as long as they'll see each other again, it didn't matter.

• After Doremi and Hazuki agree with Aiko that Onpu seems happier, Pop turns around and yells, "Pop [thinks that], too!" (2 seconds cut)
• A shot of the television studio was cut out. (3 seconds cut)
• Once Onpu invites Doremi and the girls to watch the final auditions, in the dub, a clockwise-transition was added to the scene where the television studio appears.

• The text on Karen's script was edited out in the dub.
• Karen's story about her father was changed. In the original version, she wanted to get the part of Akane because she wanted to honor her father's efforts. Her father, who suffered stage fright as easily as her, got the leading role three years ago after failing so many auditions. However, he fell sick and died before he got the opportunity to play it. In the dub, she said that her father was a famous actor and had played the part as a stage production but the family neared the borderline of poverty so he had to give up his dream and take a job as a factory worker.

• There was originally a flashback accompanying Karen's story, where she says that whenever her father failed an audition, he would take her to the bridge. The sequence was cut out. (12 seconds cut)
• When Onpu's mother had to leave for the meeting, she encourages Onpu to get the role of Akane. In the dub, she is leaving for a discussion with an agent about a potential commercial shoot with Onpu and brags that she heard everyone saying that she is definitely getting the role.
• Onpu's original command was, "Cure Karen-chan's stage fright!" In the dub, her spell rhyme is, "Fear begone and words take plight, take away this girl's stage fright!"

• When Onpu runs down the stairs to catch up with the train, she trips over a garbage can and falls down. Just as she does, there's a shot of her father's train leaving and an artistic shot of the clock. After Onpu gets up, that's when Doremi and the girls find her. This was cut. (19 seconds cut)
• A flashback of Onpu using forbidden magic was cut out. No new scenes or magical editing, they were just the shots of magic falling over Karen and Onpu's charm shattering that were already seen earlier in the episode. (2 seconds cut)
• Onpu only said that she used magic to cure Karen's stage fright and never mentions anything about her being her friend. In the dub, Onpu directly refers Karen as her friend.

• When Doremi and the girls offer to help Onpu, there's a shot of her looking at them in confusion. In the dub, it was cut out and did a page transition after Aiko pops up. (1 second cut)

• All of the girls are in their witch uniforms, and Doremi instructs Onpu to fly to the train station as soon as possible. This was cut out. (12 seconds cut)
• Okay, the next part is a bit confusing for me to describe. Doremi and the girls cast Magical Stage while Onpu is flying towards the station. In the dub, the casting sequence was moved into the scene where Onpu finally reaches the station but the train moves past her. Specifically, it was moved into the part as the train was moving and ends when the train finishes going past her.

• Just as the girls call out, "Magical Stage!", there's a shot of Onpu zooming into the sky. It was cut out. (2 seconds cut)

• After Magical Stage is cast, there are a couple of shots of Onpu's dad's train as well as the main man himself. Onpu continues flying into the sky before ducking under a bridge to de-transform. This was cut out. (9 seconds cut)
• The opening theme song, Ojamajo Carnival!! plays throughout the entire scene when Onpu enters the train. In the dub, it was one of the dub-created inserts, We Can Make Magic.
• When Onpu gets to meet her father at last, she thanks Doremi, Hazuki, and Aiko in her mind. The dub has her call them her "friends." Okay, the use of "friend" with Onpu again — I find this inaccurate because up until the middle of the second series, Onpu has never considered herself friends with the witch trio. They were just "people she hung around with." Up until then she has never truly considered herself friends with anyone.

• The end of the episode was cut out. After the witch trio cheer their success, there's a shot of a train going down the tracks, which gains a painting-like effect. After, there's a painting-shot of child Onpu being carried by her father as they look at the trains. In the dub, a dark circle zooms in on Aiko after she cheers, giving the episode an abrupt ending. (11 seconds cut)

• The dub title of this episode is "Train a Comin'." I have a hunch that it came off of Jimi Hendrix's song, Hear My Train a Comin'. Sorry I can't secure accurate lyrics since Jimi Hendrix sings the song differently each time he plays it, so here's the version that he played live on October 10, 1968 in San Francisco:
