Changes
- Avant title of Doremi saying her "spring" has come was cut out. (20 seconds cut)
- While Doremi is admiring Shuuzou, she sees her classmate Maki rollerblade nearby. Shuuzou helps her rollerblade a little bit. This was cut out. (8 seconds cut)
- Shimakura taking a picture of Doremi and a picture of Maki with Shuuzou was cut out. (1 second cut)
- After Onpu leaves at the sign of the school bell, there's a shot of Doremi and the girls talking by the window. (3 seconds cut)
- The Japanese text on Onpu's math workbook was erased.
- In the original version, the scene of Onpu running took place before the shot of the bus driving away. In the dub, it was moved after the bus drove away.
- After Doremi spots Shuuzou, there's a dramatic scene where Onpu realizes Shuuzou has seen her. This was cut out. (11 seconds cut)
- Maki's name was changed into Shannon Marley.
- Mika is not originally Shuuzou's girlfriend; before, they were close friends with hidden feelings for each other. In the dub, Shuuzou automatically refers Mika as his girlfriend.
- Onpu's spell command was originally, "Go fall in love with another girl!" In the dub, her spell rhyme is, "I don't have time to waste, so please just leave me be! Go fall in love with the next girl you see!"
- Doremi originally knew Shuuzou was Maki's older brother after seeing them rollerblade together. In the dub, when Shuuzou introduces himself, Doremi is surprised to hear of his familial connections.
- Mika's name was changed into Mia.
- The Japanese text in the sign above Hazuki's head in the MAHO Dou was erased.
- While Doremi is putting on her mother's beauty mask, Dodo floats near the bottles of lotions and essential oils. This was cut out. (9 seconds cut)
- Originally, Doremi was curious about why Shuuzou fell in love with her when they haven't even formally talked. In the dub, she was wondering about the concept of falling in love at first sight.
- Doremi originally knew Shuuzou's name because he introduced himself to her. In the dub, she doesn't... how embarrassing. How can you not know the name of the person you're dating, especially when you're not drunk?! It's like a crime. Heinous!
- A shot of Misora Elementary was cut out. (5 seconds cut)
- Shuuzou's name is revealed to be Jack Marley in the dub.
- The Japanese text on Shimakura's article was replaced with horizontal lines and a huge headline saying, "Scandal! Dorie's Jack has a Jill!" Originally, the headlines said, "Harukaze Doremi-san's boyfriend's real girlfriend is...!" Under Doremi's photo originally had her name and her age (she's 9 years old at this point).
- When Doremi comforts Maki, she asks her about Mika. Maki reassures her that Mika is not Shuuzou's girlfriend. This was cut out. (12 seconds cut)
- Doremi goes on her date with Shuuzou and there are some rather aesthetic shots of the street. They were cut. (9 seconds cut)
- Doremi was silent when she was waiting for the traffic lights to change. In the dub, you can hear her impatient thoughts.
- Throughout the whole date, Doremi's image song, Kitto Chanto Onnanoko is playing. In the dub, there were your usual jingles.
- In the original version, Doremi made onigiri (triangular rice balls) for Shuuzou. In the dub, this was changed into coconut puffs.
- In the dub, the tag on the bottle of shimi in Pop's thought bubble was edited into a blank label.
- Originally, Majorika asked Onpu if Majoruka was asking her to spy on them. In the dub, she was telling Onpu that she'll eventually pay her back. Hahaha. Getting Majoruka and Dela mixed up, eh? Even if Majorika owed Majoruka anything, she wouldn't openly admit it.
- Right after the dramatic pan-out once Doremi realizes the truth in Shuuzou's words, Hazuki, Aiko, and Onpu come running up the stairs. (2 seconds cut)
- "1-2" was edited off of Majoruka's bucket in the dub. Hahaha, did she jack the bucket from the first graders at Misora Elementary?
- Majoruka was warning Onpu that her charm won't last forever. In the dub, she scolds her on how her magic may have affected Shuuzou and Mika. Seriously? Come on, guys, as if Majoruka honestly gives a crap about the two. She's not that nice. Compared to them, Onpu's safety (AKA her meat ticket) is waaaay more important.
- Doremi answers Hazuki's thought by saying that Maki, Shuuzou, and Mika were definitely not okay. In the dub, it was changed into her ordering Onpu to help them.

Opinion
"MIA, WAIT! .... YOU FORGOT YOUR HELMET!" That never ceases to make me laugh. Shuuzou's all worried about how Mika is taking the excorcising, and all he can say is this. Yes, yes, kids, remember you need to wear your helmet when skating at alllllllll times!
There were a lot of cuts in this episode, and I was kind of displeased at how 4Kids made Doremi look more dimwitted than she really is. She knows Maki and Shuuzou are related. And no one took a shot at tequila in this episode, so you know, I'm pretty sure Doremi would try to learn Shuuzou's name? This is probably like some sort of propaganda to keep kids away from dating until they're married. |
